Our House Is For Sale

With a mixture of elated "we no longer have to deal with this house" and very sad "I'll miss its charm and tall ceilings and so many cabinets" feelings, I announce that our house is for sale. Wil and I spent a lot of time clearing out things we don't need, packing some stuff we won't need immediately, and deep cleaning to prepare for realtor pictures today. The listing should be up tomorrow and we have open houses this weekend. I really hope it all goes well.

We did a couple things in the past week specifically. Bella Rae Painting came to cover up the patched holes from the insulation installation, and everything looks fantastic now. I also caulked my first tub, and I think I did a pretty good job! If you've somehow missed my previous rants about our house, just know that it was a flip and the flippers did work that was adequate at best. As I was scraping away all the old caulk that started to mold almost immediately after we moved in, I noticed a lot of grout was coming out too. None of the tiles are lined up, the space between the tub and the tile was half grout and half caulk...it was a bit of a disaster. But thanks to handy people on YouTube, I cleared it all out, cleaned it out, washed it with vinegar to discourage more mold, taped it off (an absolute lifesaver for a rookie), and caulked away.

Small victories, right?
